After graduating from Prescott High School in the late 1950s, Charlie and Marcia Foster were married and spent the next 30 years in the retail and meat department management fields in the Prescott/Wickenburg Arizona areas where they were very well known and sought after for their honesty, professionalism, quality work and excellent customer service.In 1987, after a year of sharpening in a small shop in Wickenburg, they returned home to Prescott and opened General Sharpening. Over the years, it has grown into a reputable business offering clipper sales, service and repair for barbers, groomers, animal caretakers and much more. We also offer a full service clipper and accessory retail store and have established many repeat customers over the years and most of our business has come from "good old fashioned word of mouth" advertising.In early 2007, Charlie and Marcia's youngest son, Kevin came to work at General Sharpening after a career in manufacturing, service industries and restaurant management. In May of 2008, Marcia passed away after a hard fought 2 year battle with cancer, and Kevin took over the customer service and office positions in the business. Her one of a kind approach to family, life and business is greatly missed.We strive everyday to continue the excellence in service, quality and customer service that Charlie and Marcia worked so many years to achieve in the great business this has become.We at General Sharpening appreciate our customers and look forward to serving you for years to come!!
